Bonnie Lynn Hunt born on September 22, 1961 is an American actress and comedian. She has appeared in films such as Rain Man, Beethoven, Beethoven's 2nd, Jumanji, Jerry Maguire, The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. In animation, Hunt has voiced characters in A Bug's Life, Zootopia, and the Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story series. She was a leading actress in Grand and Davis Rules, and wrote, produced, and acted in The Building, Bonnie, and Life with Bonnie. She was the host of The Bonnie Hunt Show from 2008 to 2010. Early life Bonnie Lee Hunt was born September 22, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. She was born to Robert Edward Hunt (1927-1981), an electrician, and Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak) (1925-2021). Her father was from Irish and Belgian descent, and her mother is of Polish descent. Her siblings include three older brothers: Patrick, Kevin, and Tom, as well as two older sisters, Cathy and Carol, and a younger sister, Mary. She attended Catholic schools, going to Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago, and also worked part-time as a nurse's aide. She started working as an oncology nurse in 1982 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In 1984, she co-founded an improvisational comedy troupe called An Impulsive Thing. In 1986, Hunt joined Chicago's famed Second City troupe. In 1988, during her time as a nurse, Hunt auditioned on her lunch break for the role of waitress Sally Dibbs in Rain Man and was cast.
